88 polaris 250 trail boss
#1
Hi, new to this ATV bit and just curious if 1250 is a good price for a decent used trail boss with snowplow and small trailer to haul it on? The only problem is it stalls out at full throttle and the electric start doesn't work.
Any imput would be great
Thanks

ffjeff,
Sounds like the old Boss has some carb issues. 1250 for bike, plow, and trailer. I would say it all depends on how decent the trailer is. You didn't say whether this Boss was 2 or 4 wheel drive, but if it's 2, it will probably do okay in small snowfall amounts, but if you get over 4-6 inches, you will most likely sit and spin. Also if you are new to atv's, you might want to stay away from older used atv's with problems, unless you are pretty mechanically inclined. In that case, I would by a repair manual and go to town. My mother has an '88 Boss 250 and it still runs great. Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
