the oil is cheap comparied to a rebuild be cause you used the wrong oil and if your under warrant and use other oil polaris wont stand behind the machine a cheap rebuild piston bore cyl and gaskets only is usally 500 to 600 dallors that makes the right oil cheap

But if you insist on using the Polaris oil then change it twice as often as they reccomend.
Polaris oil breaks down quickly.

How many mechanics that own Fords use Motorcraft oil in them?
Very damn few.
Do you really think Ford or Polaris wants your engine to last forever?

cornbread you really have all the awnsers dont you. dont listen to him he has no Idea about oils we have customer with 5000 and more miles on there machines and a few with over 9000 miles on ther sportsman 500 used only polaris oil changed approxamitley every 50 hrs like polaris calls for and the have never had a motor problem.and no the polaris motor oil isnt made cheap its cheap when you compare it to the cost of a overhaul because the oil you used did break down because you were to cheap to buy the polaris oil. by the way corhbread I was a Ford mechanic for 10 yrs before I went to work at the polaris dealership and yes all the guys there that drove Fords did use the motorcraft oil that Ford recommended. ask other polaris mechanics and see what they tell you and go from there

you sure its synthetic? pretty cheap if it is.
Yes, since it says " full synthetic" on the botle I am pretty sure.
It has been tested and is equal in quality to mobil 1 at a fraction of the cost.
I think my 96 Ford F150 with 328,000 miles on it, does not use any oil, and goes 8-10,000 miles between oil changes, is a fine testiment of its quality!

You are correct about one thing. I do have all the answers. I have been an auto mechanic since I was 18. I am 46 now. I have been working on Polaris ATV's since 1990.
The Polaris oil is OK but it is NOT better than any good name brand synthetic oil and in many cases it is NOT AS GOOD.
And as far as "other polaris mechanics" the ones I know that ride and service their own Polaris do not use the Polaris oil.
And the not a single one of the other auto mechanics I know would put Motorcraft oil in their Ford.
