Default Long term mileage on 2005-06?

Your right, but I was giving an example of speed, probably would be less.
The terrain I'm talkinga about can handle 30-40mph, no problem, pulled a 16 ft boat with my traxter with camping gear and all, so no problem there, its a far distance so we need to ride fast enough, and in LOW gear this thing will suck fuel like crazy and will only do 20-25mph in LOW right and will be screaming.
I can load my machine with camping gear, passenger, and a canoe and safley ride 30-45pmh range on these logging/fire roads as there big and open and are smooth, but can the 800 handle with in High without hurting the belt, until I get to the mountain and then put it in LOW for slow going.

Stumpuller you will have no trouble with carrying your canoe, camping gear and passenger in high range and there will be no harm to your belt. When we go to my buddies cabin we load my single snowmobile trailer with as much birch as we can pile on it safely and then after I get back up on the road I just pop the quad in high range and motor on over forest access roads back to the cabin. I use low range though when down in the cutover picking up the birch. So no worries mate you will be okay with what you want to do. As well I often tow my 12ft aluminum boat plus a passenger, motor & gear whenever I want to fish. No low range needed for this until you get into the real rough stuff or start crossing bogs. A couple of times we have loaded my boat with two motors & enough gear for 4 people and then put another boat on top of mine upside down, took on a passenger and took off. Still use high gear unless the going gets rough.

Hey SafteySean,

That is what I want to hear, and you do that with a 500HO, man that is wild, and similar to what I do, nothing for us to do 100 mile trips here in QUebec, and be some combo riding there, pulled about 1200lbs of boat/motor/campig gear for 4 guys/food, and lots of beer, on some old logging roads and then cross country into the mountain through mud and rocks and made it, no problem, but I have a geared bike that is like a tractor. Now I want a 2nd machine who can handle that and then some.

Thanks

05 700 with 725 miles. Primary clutch blew apart at 200 miles and plastic has melted twice on the right side....Ploaris covered all repairs.

Well Stumppuller I am riding in Newfoundland so you can probably assume the type of terrain that we are going over here. No prob with my 500 so you would certainly have no trouble if you get an 800. Also you mention that you take a mess of beer with you...well in true Newfoundland style we generally use a seperate trailer for the beer as there would not be enough room in the boat, even if it were empty, to take enough for 4 Newfies for a couple of nights at the cabin. Once again you are probably the only one reading this thread who can appreciate what I am saying here about the terrain and beer.
