Ok, I have an '00 TrailBlazer, I saw an '01 today and it looks as if poaris has added a lot better lower steer bushing. It also looks like a different piece it is mounted on.

Can any of you guys tell me if the new type would fit on the 2000, or is the aftermarket kit as good/better? Also what are the chances of finding a dealer to put the better type on under warrenty?

Third and last, is it just the lower, or do I need to worry bout the upper too?

Thanks for any and all replies

I'm sure the HPD brass bushing is better than the new factory one made by Polaris. I would just buy one and install it. I doubt any dealer would put one on under warranty. The upper is fine, unless you've rolled your machine or something.

Not familiar with the T'Blazer, but on the Sportsman, I have heard the stem is a bigger size for '01, which may require replacing the whole steering stem. The HPD unit will fit right where your old one was. Some dealers will do the labor to 'upgrade' you to the HPD unit under warranty, if you buy the part.
