Default Oil gauge on 500HO

Can anyone help as to where the Oil Gauge sensor can be installed on an 05 500HO? I've got the temp gauge figured out just fine

I haven't installed it yet. I have the parts and installed everthing to make sure. I will be putting in a T connector where the current temp sensor is installed. Bought a 3/8 T and other various parts to make everything fit. The oil connection is a different story. I have no idea where or if I can plug into an existing hole.

find the thermostat housing and look up on the block. there is an allen plug. pull that out and use it for oil pressure. i found this in a search last night.
good luck!!!

I know there is an oil plug behing the primary clutch cover on the 700 and that's where I put mine. I happens to be just below the t-stat housing. I had to cut down a std allen wrench to get in and back the plug out and put a 90* fitting in to get the pressure sender in. Word to the wise. Don't use a capalary system. Tpay for an eletric sender. Less places to get an oil leak. From there it's a peice of cake. I would assume that in the service manual there is a description of an oil pressure check port. That's where you want to tap in for oil pressure. As for the Temp sensor. Just pull your t-stat cover and drill and tap it. It will eliminate the need to mess with the stock fan sensor port.

I would like to see pictures of where you guys are putting these gauges. I'm tempted to put gauges in but am looking for a good place to mount them.

Thanks for the responses. I'll take a look for the plugs that are mentionned. There's a few guys on other forums that have installed these gauges but they are on 700's. I haven't seen any pictures of installs on a 500. If anyone finds any I'd like to see them. The gauges mount right into the pod but you have to get 1.5" gauges.
