Im looking at slapin a winch on my POLARIS 8hundy. Has any one had luck with xtreme winches,or are the junk? what about the other brands?

 

HAHA i just picked up a 2,000 pound chicago electric off of ebay for 26 bucks brand new in box. They have big controls but oh well for that price you cant beet it. Not sure about the brand your asking about but im sure it would do its job.

 

Are you asking about the Venom Extreme winch? I've got one and its a beast. I bought a 3000lb and they sent me a 3500. Install went fairly smooth, i had to make room for a bolt but that was it. Simple install and its stupid strong. For $150 with the mounting bracket you can't go wrong!

I bought a 2500lb Gorilla winch for my old 94 Polaris. I liked it so much that I put it on my new X2.

BTW, the Gorilla winch is the same as the Venom. Same maker, same importer, different name.

 

my buddy has a 3000 gorilla as well i bought on ebay for 125.00 to my door. its a pretty good winch but its not a good sealed unit as hes had water get in and screw w/ the fiber washers that make it free wheel good. and the contacter is junk but i under stand that they were going good for them if you contact the company. i have a warn 3000 and necer had any issue w/ any of the 4 that ive owned. i got what i payed for
