I have no problem keeping my legs and body reasonably warm, but, how the hek do you keep your hands and feet warm. It was 34* with a 20 MPH north wind where I was riding, (which is like a summer day for some of you) and I felt like my hands and feet were numb. When they are miserable, it kinda makes the rest of you miserable. Yes, I did have gloves and workboots on !

What are the secrets ?

Well I don't know what kind of riding that you do but the had warmers that are put on the handle bars are great for the hands. Along with the hand gaurds which will stop the wind from hitting your hands directly. You might also want to think about putting a thumb warmer on your thorottle lever. The thing with the boots, you just have to put on thicker socks.

hot grips and battery powered hot socks. I never had a problem with cold feet. cold hands and the worst is cold chest. more clothes and hot grips and you are ready for 10 degree riding

Adding a windshield will also work wonders.

If all else fails, ride double with your wife & let her drive!
Otherwise heated grips - nice because you can wear thinner gloves for better control - handguards or a fairing would help, too.

For your feet, bigger boots, and double or triple socks. That's why you got a Polaris, so you don't have to worry about getting your toe under the little lever!

Also:
Carharts in general are warm & cut wind well.

Last sunday was a "warm" 30 day(it comes -30 during winter)...and my feet were wet and cold, so please Farmr, avoid talking about my main concern for the coming (and almost already here) winter.

Zorro, don't forget to tell the people you were all wet because we went ripping through not-so frozen water holes with ice chunks all over!
(and got stuck...darnit!)

One of the most amazing rides yet!

Zorro and Xplor....

You two have way too much fun. I took a look at your pics and it appears that Zorro gets stuck quite often. Happy riding
