Hi all,
The 06 500ho had a bit of an accident today and I need some help. Basically my son rolled it over today and demolished the headlamp pod and pretty much everything inside it. The headlamp assembly is busted good and the speedo is smashed. The key switch is cracked but feels okay when turning it and trying to start it...but here's the problem...

It won't start using the key now. If I turn the key switch to the on position and pull the rope it fires and runs. My question is does the machine need the speedo to start with the key or is the key switch broken internally??? The wires seem ok. Is there a fuse that could of blown for the switch?

My suggestion what la90043 says plus start checking Ebay. 2005 should be the same as 06..

well the speedo controlls the awd maybe it could if its an efi but i doubt it.start chase wires w/ a mter to see if you key switch is giving power when its turned on and put in the start moded.

 

sounds like the key switch is broken inside and not make contact for power to flow through it. change the switch and you should be ok but you will have to change the speedo to get the awd to work again

 

the awd is tied to speedo? The manual talks about a circuit braker...wheres this at?

 

circuit breakers are built in to the ecm

 

the manual says to reset the breaker. How is this done?
