I have never seen an add or note for an atv riding club in this area. Maybe they have a bulletin board for them at one of the dealers. Also, if you are going to ride the Rubicon check out 4 wheeler sites. They have good info about the ride itself and even more important info on the idiotic regulations now in force on the trail. I understand deviations from the centerline of the trail beyond a certain number of feet are being met with fines by law enforcement..forestry I think.. and you apparently may need a gps in some areas to determine it. I have run the trail in a jeep but would like to try it on my 800. A little late to do it this year.

There is another option you have when visiting the famous Lake Tahoe area. If you?re flying in from out of state, and didn?t pack your quad, you can take a tour of the Rubicon Trail with folks who know it very well. There is a tour company, Lake Tahoe Adventures and they offer year-round tours. In the summer, you have two choices of where you can go, and a couple choices of vehicles. Have you seen those mini sand rail buggies?the Ridge Runner? They offer those for use on the high desert tours. In the winter, you can choose to take a ride on a snowmobile.
