I am pretty sure you are not the first to do it. See if there is some kind of flushing system available the flush it out. Ask a few mechanics. They must of came across this problem before.

Drain your fuel tank and turn the quad upside down.

I have a set of surgical pliers which are about 16" long. They are thin enough to fit down the CB fill hole and possibly grab the bit. I don't know where to get them besides a hospital, but they have saved my butt several times from dropped items.

Also, if you do resort to turning the machine upside down, be sure to run some premixed fuel once it is turned back over. You could easily get an air bubble in the oil reservoir and once that gets to the engine, you would run it dry and toast your top end.

Your serious about turning the bike upside down????? And the surgical pliers might help, but I can not see the bit. I belive it has fallen all the way down, and that taking the engine out is the only way to get this out.. dam I feel like an idiot..... but thanks for the suggestions...

Why would I not be serious? There is a good chance that if you turn the quad over the object could fall out the dip stick hole.

It would be a hell of a lot eaiser than taking the engine apart.

Or if you stand it up on the back rack the object may move to the rear where you can get hold of it with a magnet or something through the dip stick hole.

HOLY HELL...... I would have never guessed that would work,, I turned the bike over, spun the flywheel a few times, shook the bike, and the bit fell down to where I could grab it with a magnet... UNBELIVABLE.... I thank you very much for that suggestion. Now I can finally ride again.
