Will 26" mudrunners on stock rims fit on the sp500HO without rubbing on the struts?

They don’t touch the struts, what they touch is the outer tie rod end boots. It comes so close that it might not even touch the boot all the way around the tire. One of mine wore through and the other just has a radius mark where the tire touches it.

Just stick 3 washers on the wheel bolts, right side only. No more rubbing for only .99 cents!

Have you ever noticed when removing / installing the wheels that there are “bosses” on the hubs that center the wheel via the large hole in the center? And have you ever thought, “Gee, these lug bolts are awful small”? That’s why the bosses are there. They take the brunt of the punishment and keep the wheel centered while the lugs just hold the wheel on the hub. If you use washers/spacers that don’t allow the wheel to seat in the bosses then you’re asking those tiny lug bolts to do far more than they were intended to.

The problem only exists on the right side on Sportsmans up to and including the 2000 model year. With the new steering geometry on the HOs both sides touch the tie rod boots.
