Default Scrambler belt slipping (help)

I had the similar issue with getting the belt wet. i than made my own clutch case exhaust vent, it goes straight up to under the seat, works like a charm. I've got a question! just part of my clutch seal is gone would you guys reccomend me trying to use silicon...Yes I'm that cheap lol... would it work?

i dont see why it wouldn't work if you layed a thick enough bead in there. it is going to be a real pain to clean off the next time you take the cover off though. i think a new gasket is 25.00 wich is a little pricey. maybe you could try a little strip of window weld in there.
