I took a little spin today to get an idea of how much stiffer these springs are. It wasn't much of a ride but enough to tell that the ride was a lot stiffer in front, but not necessarily in a bad way. If that makes any sense. I won't take these springs out right away after the snow melts in the Spring. Instead I'll leave them in and put them through the paces just to be fair. I do like the higher riding stance and ground clearance though.

i took some recomendations that i didnt need a spring compressor.
stock springs came out fine, but a compressor was required to get the EPI springs compressed enough to start the top nut.
i even took my axles out cause i heard horror stories of them comming apart, and i popped one when i was reassembling it. too much of an angle and muscle when going back in the hub.
stupid me.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that.

I plowed a few inches of snow today for the first time and I am very happy with the stiffer springs out front.

Just installed EPI spring in my '06 500 EFI. AWESOME! They eliminated 3" of sag from the stock springs and they experience only 1" of sag when the plow was raised. The wheels on the front end no longer camber (with or without the plow raised) like they did with the stock springs.

Took me 45 minutes to strip down the machine, install the springs and reinstall everything. I also had to use the ratchet straps to compress the new springs so I could get the top nut on.

We also put EPI HD springs on an '04 Magnum 330. They eliminated 1" of sag from the stock springs and they experienced 1" of sag when the plow was raised.

This machine involved a lot more strip down and reassembly so it took around 1.25 hours.

In summary, this made a difference in the stance, ground clearance and operator comfort of both machines. Particularly the 500, where I gained 3" of ground clearance with the blade raised.
