Default Don't curse me, ribicon vs '95 scrammy 400 4x4...... even

Okay, okay, realiaze I weigh about 260 and the other (cocky) guy was probably about 170. We rode most of the day and all of a sudden it was, "you want to race". I was okay with that. My scrammy is old, air filter REALLY needs changed, i have only ridden it about 3 or 4 times in 4 years. But WTF beeeeitch, lets go.

First round, gets me off the launch, even, even, lost by .25 quad length.
Round 2, me by .265, good launch
Round 3, me by .5, he "missed a shift", maybe a full length
Round 4, he changed his tranny, had launch and maintained.

My call...........pretty close for the day. Don't know his. Will probably hear later.

I told him, "well, that was close. I will tell you what next time we come I will have a new plug, replace my HORRIBLE air filter and we will see."

I>>>>>>>>>>>HAVE& gt;>>>>>>>>>>>TO& gt;>>>>>>>>>>>WIN .

The deal is, I know I can with mods but I am thinking if my quad was in good shape, even stock, I would win.

It needs exhaust gaskets which probably won't have too much of an effect, AIR CLEANER, mine is an f'n joke, and probably a rejet.

Am I wrong or what??

clogged air filter and leaking exhaust gaskets all have an effect on the performence of a wheeler so if its tune right and maybe the belt is worn out as well.

Yeah, actually the belt might be an issue too. I had just gotten stuck a few minutes earlier and thought I might have smelled something.

I sent Rick Ritter an email about doing the air box mod while adding a new filter.

call rick, you will get your anwser from him then and there.

leaking exhaust gasket can loose 3-4hp and the air filter as much, having a stock 95 the motor is probable pretty tired and needs some freshinging up.
