Default 00 polaris expedition overheating!!

Well I have a 2000 polaris expedition and last time I rode it overheated on me. I know what the problem is now I need to know how to fix it. It is overheating because the fan is not kicking on. The temp gauge turns on but the fan just wont kick on. I checked for any loose wires and I did not see any. Also I hot wired the fan to make sure that it was still good and it worked. What should I do next. Is there somekind of fan switch that might possebly need replaced. Is there a certain wire that I should make sure is hoocked up ( I looked and did not see any loose wires). Once again I know that my fan works but it wont kick on, and I know that my battery is good because everything else works.

I believe the temperature sensor is in the side of the engine but the thermal switch that controls the fan is located on the lower part of the radiator. I had to replace mine. You have to remove the Rad to get at it because it is covered by a large plastic shroud.
