Default need new starter 400xplorer

Hi, i'm looking to purchase a new starter for my 96 Xplorer 400.

Do any of you recommend one? are the ones on ebay any good? Where did you get yours and how long as it worked?

Thanks for any help!

N2 sells good stuff. Alot of the times it is the OEM parts with N2 sticker over it, at half the cost. Are you sure you need a starter? 90% of the time all that is needed are brushes.

it's dragging really bad, you think I just need a rebuilt kit? I put in one about a year ago, worked ok but then started dragging again. I barely used the wheeler!

Check battery and connections. If it had a proper rebuild a year ago I would think the starter is OK.

it might be your reduction gear if it had not been changed with your starter. alot of times the gear will corrode and drag until failure.
