My manual says I have an output of 350 watts.
How much do I have for aux. accessories??(lights)
I'd like to run a pair of PIAA 55w lights
I have a winch and grip and thumb warmers.

You can run a pair of 55 watt lights but not with your other headlights on at the same time.

Also if you install these lights you can not let all that current flow through your switch. It WILL ruin your switch and these things are not cheap.

You must either use a seperate switch for the lights or use a relay if you wish to use your stock Polaris switch.

Older Polaris switches would handle any amount of current you put through them. Newer switches will not.

I am not arguing, but I was thinking that it was 150 watts. I have NOT looked it up to verify.

New Polaris ATV's have almost twice the stator output of those made in the early 90's.

Still they don't hardly charge at all at idle. You can't run a lot of high power accessories at idle or extremly slow speeds and expect your battery to stay charged.
