anyone use the thermoplastic boots instead of the rubber? any good?

 

Sportsman, I just changed front springs which prompted me to change the cv boots. I ordered aftermarket boots from American CV. Right away I noticed that they were much thicker than the stock boots which I thought would actually be better until I realized that the out board side (wider) of the boot was very difficult to clamp tightly enough against the hub. Hence I have a slight amount of grease leaking which has now prompted me to order brand new stock boots and I will be tearing the front end apart again to replace the aftermarket thicker boots with stock boots.

Where on e-bay doyou find the cv-boots .I dont know much about e-bay and no matter what i type in i cant find them?

 

type in polaris cv axle and you should find the boots there.
