Why do polaris' seem to squat?
being a larger rider, if you have ridden that quad for some time, your shock is most likely starting to be worn out.
to change the stance to where you want, and improve the over all performance of the shock, you need to have it professionally rebuilt/revalved. they can change internal valving to accomodate larger riders.
look up CARVER PERFORMANCE. they have redone some of my friends fox shocks on their scramblers. and they are also larger riders, and they have nothing but good things to say after they got them back and remounted.

Polaris newbie here.
Anyone else think that maybe the front springs may be too stiff on the Scramblers/later model sport machines (using the same front springs)?
I ride trail. Have purchased a couple of used Scramblers (99 400 4x4/02 500 2x4) and coming off of 10 years worth of sport type Yammies, consider these Scramblers WAY too stiff in the front end. I'm not exactly a lightweight either (275lbs). Back ends seem fine.
Looking at installing late model ('05/'06) Sportsman front springs. Anyone been here before me? -Al
