Default Non EBS ATVs and brake pad wear

How often are the non-ebs machines getting their brake pads replaced? I have ebs and will soon be putting on my third set of pads on the front. The machine is a 99 sp 500. I think it is nearing 1900 miles. I have had to replace the rear pads once so far.

it really all depends on the rider and the condtions in which they ride such as alot of mud which wears then down alot faster. since i dont use my breaks alot of my 800 and my wife uses hers all the time w/ her non ebs 450

I have a 1000 miles on my S.P. 450 (2006) and lots of pad there yet!!!! We cover alot of ground (trails) when we ride....So brake pad wear is not an issue for my two quads!!!!....Caper......

if you ride in muddy conditions they will wear out pretty fast , but its usally the rears that wear out faster than the fronts on mine .......

My 2002 sp 700 has 3700 miles and brake pads are still good.

yea its the real griddy mud w/not much water that eats the pads as well as chains. at least in the water helps keep some of the grit off. we went thru 3 sets of brakes on the old trail blazer and 1 set on my 500.
