Default warn winch recall on contactor

I just checked mine last night and it is the 4-post contactor that is not affected on my 05 400. I called my dealer and he told me where to look but I still couldn't find it but stendori told me exactly where it was and what to look for. Thanks again!!

Default warn winch recall on contactor

Would this problem cause the in/out switch to constantly stop working after a while? The reason I ask is that my winch on my 2006 Sp800 has been worked on twice now and is still giving me issues. The dealer replaces the solenoid and after a hour or so of use, the switch becomes non-responsive and only clicks. The first time, the winch actually stuck in the spool out postion and the only way i could stop it was to throw off the seat and undo the lead to the battery. This is not only dangerous, but if it would of got stuck in the in position, the winch would of probably wrecked itself.

Any thoughts?

The dealer seems to be at a loss on what to do.

Thanks,

Brandon

So it seems that we're talking about the "contactor" and not the solenoid. I'll check mine in the next couple of days to see if I have the 4 post or 8.
