I had a 660 how does a 500 pred compare?

 

I owned an 03 Raptor 660 before my predator.

The Raptor has more torque and is faster then the predator at the very top end.

The Predator handles night and day different the shocks that come on them are a lot beter shock too.

The predator doesn't have the grunt torque the Raptor does. For certain trails the grunty torque is nice.

There both nice machines but the predator really does handle better.
I had YFZ450 shocks on my Raptor with a 4+ axle and 2+ 1 up a arms. with those mods the Predator and the Raptor handled the same.

 

yeh..just sink another 1k into a 660 and it will handle just as well as a Predator does stock...hmmm..sorry to say this but the 450 shocks are junk..no if ands or buts about it..I had them on my warrior and it didnt make a bit of difference

 

money put into the 660 to make it as good as the pred would be better spent on making the pred better yet

 

I don't agree the 450 shocks are nice if dailed to there max they where much better then the Raptor stock shocks.

There not as good as the predators fox shocks but there the best you can get for a stock yamaha and i got them for 150 bucks off ebay thats not bad for rezzie shocks.
Can't say i miss the Raptor though.

Predator is a better refined machine.

Reason i stunk that money into the Rappy was i crashed it riding a wheelie and got insurrance to pay out a little used ebay and picked up all those parts.

My 05 troy lee has top end that runs right at or a little ahead of an 05 raptor 660in a drag strip. it was on the road so there are no excuse about traction
