SP 700 May Just Be Rumors
#13
VG and Diogenes, I can't give out any more info than I've already have. These 50-or more hand-built machines aren't proto-types, they are ready to sell. Polaris is predicting huge sales from the SP700. They can't release it till they get entire assembly cell completed. It will be here though. It is not just a rumor. Ride'em hard Polcat.

polcat2. My wife was wondering if you have heard any rumors about whether or not the SP700 will be sold with divorce papers? You should have seen the big smile on her face when she asked. Guess I am PW. Just might need to give 800twin my phone number so his wife can call mine. LOL!!!

Polcat2,
How can polaris make the first sp700's buy hand and make them for the same price that the line built ones cost?? i would think that the hand built ones would cost ALOT more to manufacture. hope the first sp700's dont cost $10,000 each.

VG, LOL, I hope they don't get carried away with the prices... They're high enough already. All-A-MONEY would be rough!!! the judges have no mercy! LOL
LED, 1st hand-assembly run will not effect the consumer's purchase price.

Hey Guys~
I just want to share my little bit of knowledge taht I've heard from a Polaris Rep. Way back in October at the HayDays in MN, Polaris had a tent there. I asked the reps about any new big-bore model that might be released and they would say very little. They said they were testing an engine in an all new sport chassis at Baja type racing events and it was "blowing away the competition." That leads me to believe that there will be a new sport machine released eventually, and it will NOT be in a Scrambler chassis. I would not be the least bit surprised to see a sport machine with a competitive weight and even a manual clutch. I do think however a sportutility will be introduced to the public first. Also, am I the only one disappointed to see all the 2 strokes being discontinued????? It's really a bummer!
