Hey Jim,
Got your message, and your question. You are wondering if these pads will mess up the rotors in the front? I don't have front pads yet. But on the rears, I can tell you this. These pads will not pre-maturerly wear out or scar in any way the brake rotor. I have a friend who had a set on a Banshee. He installed an emergency brake remover kit, and did it wrong. I made the pads able to move in, but not out, so they were always dragging. He boiled the fluid out, and completely wore away the pads, but didn't destroy the rotor. He put in some regular pads and did it again before he figured out what the problem was
I think that when you are breaking them in, they deposit a thin layer of brass on the rotor. Kind of braze it on there. Then you have brass on brass. If you look at a rotor that uses these, you will see it is brass colored.
One more thing. These pads last longer with solid rotors.
