Default 1991 Trail Boss 350L 2X4 Question

I just bought this thing first one ever. When I bought it at the yard sale paid 625 for it. It seemed to run good just coul not ride it because the brakes are bad. I got it home and nothing, the electric start is not even hooked up and pull start will not let it run. I pulled seat off to get to the carb, I can put some starting fluid in the carb and it will run great as long as i keep spraying the starting fluid in it. I haved checked to see if fuel comes out of the fuel line at the carb pulled of the line and a steade stream comes out. I was going to pull the carb off but can't figure out the top two lines I unscrew them and there is a line connected somwhere in the carb its self. any thing would help. Do I just junk it and have a sever loss or try to fix it.
Thanks

Default 1991 Trail Boss 350L 2X4 Question

how did you hear it run at the ysale if you say it wont satrt or run now? sounds like the carb os dirty for sure. even w/ a dead battery the pull start will fire it up if it runs. make sure the batterys fully charged and the power going thru the cables to starter and that the switch is working. not too sure about the carb havent had one apart yet.

Yes, and it is open and I can get fuel out of the line. I think it may just be out of adjustment any help on adjusting it would be great
