Has anyone ever tried this muffer? If so what do you think about it? How loud is it? Did it help the proformance of your machine?

Hey~
Yep, had one for the 325 for one day...sent it back! I added the spring and silencer at the same time. Machine was definitely louder than stock, and performance gains were not even noticeable! Not worth a penny of the cost! Spring raised the engagement point, but didn't feel like it took off any faster. Haven't found anything to make the machine any faster.

I have one on my Scrambler 400 and yes it is loud. It is louder than any other bike around. And everyone around here has a bike. I have a lot more power than I did before but you dont notice it as much untill you get the cluch kit on it and then you can really tell.

I tried their carb and snot kit...for my 500 4x4.

Wish I hadn't. The carb doesn't fit well, and they never came up with a cable that works well with it, given the close tolerances.

The pipe is loud, and when I asked how to silence it, they sent me discs that had nothing to do with the pipe they sent. After more than a half dozen attempts to right this situation...I have simply given up on my old favorite from snowmobile days, Aaen.

I have one on my HO, and yes it makes it a lot louder. I did not notice any performance gains, but we only use them because they work well under water(less back pressure than stock).

W/ the pipe & muffler, there is a 9 to 10 lb weight savings, I weighed it & since I was on a weight savings kick I went for it. On a modified machine you can tell a very slight difference in power & it was the cheapest forestry approved & lightest one. Yes is it MUCH louder than stock but below the 96db sound limit that is enforced in some areas I think it's 94db.
