The 2000 model in question should have a seperate reverse rev limiter box under the plastic near the headlight.

It is a small box next to the CDI box.

I am buying the box.....which incorporates the following. The rev limiter, Headlights, and start switch. This was what I assumed you meant to replace. I have no clue what you are talking about when you throw in the "combo switch" terminology. You indicated not to waste time with replacing switches.....just replace the box. I am under the assumption that the combo switch, and the below listed part are the same.....Nothing else at this address (http://www.donwoodpolaris.com/fiche_section_detail.asp) fits the description.

Is the following what I need??????? Thats all I can find that matches the description of what you are talking about.

Everything on your handle bars are fine. The black box cornbread is refering to is under your front plastic. You have to take the cover off that is under your headlight pod to see the box. Your switches are working ok because when you press the switch it bypasses the box allowing you to stay running. Hope this helps clear up the confusion. TORK.

 

Ahhh....That totally clears it up. I didn't understand that the box wasn't on the ha\ndlebars.......cornbread2 made the mistake of thinking I knew what the hell I was doing!!!! Obviously I dont. Do you kno wwhat the technical description is of that box?
