I have a 2001 sp 400 ,just wondering if the secondary clutch is supposed to stop spinning when the bike is in neutral? I have the idle speed slowed down as much as possible there is a slight clunk when putting it in gear, just wondering if all this is OK. Thanks

 

in my 02 sportsman 500 H.O. the secondary clutch spins in neutral you primary clutch might need a shim because its too tight, mine also makes a little noise when i put it into gear but it also stalls if i dont gas it

at idle the driven clutch shouldnt move. once the drive clucth is disengauged the driven doesnt move until throttle is given.
