help wanted

Default help wanted

95 trailboss 250... i did a compression test and it was about 50psi... what should it normally be and is there any complete engine rebuild kits availible.. and anyone kno a local shop in maryland that can overhaul it... any help would be appriciated...

Factory service manual states compression service limit is 115 psi -- some here have been able to be as low a 100 without problems.
As far as motor rebuild kits and/or labor, Rick Ritter (Ritter Cycle in Illinois) has taken good care of many of us.

it would depend on what parts you replaced and how much machine work(boring,honing) needs to be done and who you have do it.

If you do the work yourself it can be done for $200-$300 parts and boring.

i found a place in pa hanover. its called hanover cycle works... anyone herd of them or any work they have done?
