I am looking at buying an 05 ATP 500. the first thing that jumped out at me is the way the radiator is sticking out down low in the front with no protetcion. Is there any kind of bumper anyone would recomend that would add some protectcion? I can picture hitting a stump or rock and taking that out real quick.

I have seen several on the web that say "fits all Gen IV ATV and ATP models". then I see other stuff that fits "all Gen IV ATV's. Is the ATP a Gen IV ATV?

I think I will be adding a Glacier plow with Warn 2.5 winch if that matters in the bumper. I use my ATV as a tractor, plowing, bringing in firewood, yard work, etc. Might even take it trail riding every once and a while.

PS: yes, I am new here, great site, I been reading everything about Polaris I can find for the last couple days.

Current rig is a 2003 Yamaha Beartracker with Cycle country 48" plow. yes its 2wd, but with the snow chains I been getting by plowing for the last couple years, but its time to upgrade!

 

The front end should pretty much be the same as any gen IV. The only major dif. is the front rack opens to a storage box.
