scrambler 500 indicator lights

scrambler 500 indicator lights
Hey all!
bought a 2001 500 over xmas and i just noticed that it only has neutral and reverse lights...
no oil or temp warning lights...the spots where they should be have "blanks" where they are, not holes.
is this common for them not to have these?

scrambler 500 indicator lights
scramblers never came with an oil warning light, but they should all come with a temp warning light. your better off just replacing the temp sensor in the head with an automotive style temp sensor and handle bar mount gauge. then you will know when your hot.
