Default h/c disappointment

if you are running the white spring you are already loosing top end speed due to the higher rpm engagement... if you are not running enough weight you will bounce the rev limiter on wot wide open throttle.. just play with it as long as you are happy , thats all that counts just because somebody else is unhappy and disapointed that dont have to ruin your thoughts ... personaly after i installed my "HEELCLICKER" it felt like a whole new bike, gusee i just got lucky... glad you are happy spydey.. wish good ole stendori would have pleased ( i helped him find his kit from a guy Ideal with).. GLAD YOUR HAPPY SPYDEY, SORRY BOUT YOUR LUCK STENDORI..

Default h/c disappointment

i want to clear something up so people dont misunderstand. i myself am not happy with the results of paying the cost for a clutch kit that doesnt give enough gains to justify the cost. i am not saying however that some one esle would not be totally happy w/ the heel clicker on their bike. if i wanted to spend the extra money on springs and time to dial it in correctly then maybe it would be a little(very little) better. even the most knowledgable guy i have talked to(and he does know his sh@t) tells me that the only real gain is from 0 to 10 mph. this is not worth the cost to me to invest in w/ so little benfit. i have since read alot of other set ups and am finding the consenses w/ the 800's are pretty close to being right on the money in the clutching department. now i have alot of clutching parts coming to me thru R R and he wants me to try differnt set ups and report my findings so see if its worth even trying to promote these parts. but there again i only post my opinions for my applacation and DO NOT tell some one esle they wont have good luck w/ it. sorry for the confusion.

Stendori -

This is a very good thread. I have certainly learned alot!
I am waiting on two things:

1) Your report of your results from the new RR provided
clutch kits (As my cousin w/800 may benefit from ur great
technical insights).

2) Once all your 800 projects are done with (never, lol) the
results of the H/C on mamma's 450. (That is even if that
is the future plan now?)

When I seen the last Nor'easter weather with you all possibly
getting more of the white stuff and we down here are getting
plummeted with rain, I said man my cyber bros in arms are
still getting slammed. - more delays

On a more positive note, I was able to get my ~$200 Car port
up yesterday, Yes Yes now I can work on my bikes w/o getting
rained on. Mirrors installed, rear rack ext, on now, air in all tires
getting ready for next week's ATV weekend, Lord willing and the
River don't rise..8)

Regards,

R'
