I have rode up on several bears in northern Michigan, fast riding with a quiet quad gets you to them before they realize what's up. None have stuck around long once they seen me....

 

me and my dad did, as soon as the bear saw us it stood up on its back legs and than took off, it must have seen my dad had the Grizzly.

 

No bears yet unfortunately. I'd love to see one. I've lost count of how many deer I've seen. One time we came around a corner in the trail, and there was a moose. We just kind of followed him down the trail a ways. He couldn't have cared less.

 

i once saw a moose while riding in NY - they are scarey - she was riding an X2

I have never ram upon a bear while riding, but I have almost hit a deer a couple of times on my old 225 Honda, and I almost killed myself (never even saw the d@mn thing) on a mini-bike with a deer.

 

I was riding my trailblazer a couple of years ago and a frickin tree ran right on front of me. You gotta watch out for those things - they dont move for nuthin

 

on a serious note - I was watching Impact Survials on the Discovery Channel - did anyone see the one about the girls who were riding mountain bikes and a mountain lion tackled one off her bike and was dragging her away BY THE FACE? Her freind was trying to pull her away by her feet. NASTY wounds on her face.

me and my dad have ran into a lot of things drivin around, we were in the pickup on the county road running with a black bear next to us, we've seen skunks, mice, elk, coyotes, deer, antelope, fox, badgers, bobcats, and plenty of rabbits. me and my buddy almost hit a cow elk one time on the county road, came around the corner and there were about 8 of em

 

i was called to jury duty about ten yrs ago - some drunk kid drove his car straight into a milk cow that was standing in the middle of the road.

My parents also witnessed a horse getting hit by a pickup tryck going 60 mph ( i would have liked to seen that one)
