Help me please!! I have a 2000 Sportsman 500.
I have a new Moose plow and universal tube, however the mounting bracket is backordered until at least early January(was mid-December, then late December).
Meanwhile, the snow gets deeper, and deeper..

Anyone know who has one in stock?

Thanks very much.

Kevin

Maybe you should threaten to send it all back to them to get them moving

You might try Dennis Kirk. I ordered a Moose bottom plow mount for my Rancher from them a few weeks ago and had it in 4 days.

I would get a different plow. I wanted the Moose system several weeks ago, and couldn't get the mounting bracket either. A person from Moose even e-mailed me back saying that the parts would ship the first week of December. Obviously that was a lie. I bought a CYCLE COUNTRY instead, not by choice, but by necessity. I have been pleased with the performance, and the package came out to be a little less to. I would return it and get something else.

Have you thought about having a machine shop fab one up for you? I know my bottom mount for my Cat is just a steel plate with ears hanging down for the push tube to attach to and holes drilled in it for the u-bolts to attach it to the footpeg bars. Very basic, I remember someone saying they waited for the bottom mount for the Auto Cat last year & when I looked at mine I thought "Why not just make one?"

I'm not sure what the SP500's bottom mount looks like but I'm sure someone on this forum does.

Kev,

I wrote right to Moose, because I was waiting from Oct 6 til Dec 4 for mine. I got mine the week after.

I recently had the same exact problem. I called all around to find one and I finally found one at Five Star Cyle in Western PA. ( 814 ) 763 - BIKE. Give them a shot they actually gave a 15 % Discount too. Or try Shank's (440) - 998 - 3181. It is a Little more money but its IN! Let me know how it goes. Only problem you'll have to pay shipping.
