Default Bought a new Sportsman 700efi

Ok.. well, I went down to my local ride now dealer and looked a few of there used ATV's. The nicest one they had was a 2004 Rancher 350 for $4,600 plus tax. So I went inside to look at a few of there new bikes and they were having a few deals. Trailblazer 250 for $3299 out the door (my friend ended up buying this) Then the salesman showed me a 06 Sportsman 700 efi. It was $7299 out the door. Way more then I wanted to spend but it as a really nice bike and all the features started to grow on me. So after a little hageling I got them to drop to to $6000.00 out the door and they agreed. I am now the proud new owner of a 06 Sportsman 700. More money then I wanted to spend and alot more power then I was looking at, but I look at it this way. I wont have to upgrade for a very long time and I'm happy with the purchase. I think I got a pretty damn good deal.

Anyone have any idea what kinda horsepower this atv puts out? None of the salesman even had a clue, they also said top speed is around 50-55mph is that true? After I break her in I already have a challange from my friend to a race, he has a scrambler 500 bone stock and he wants to race... what the hell lol.

I'm happy and thats all that matters!! woohoo..lol

Congratulations, that's a heck of a price for that machine. You should be happy with it, was with my '04. Believe I had my '04 up to 60mph, which was too fast for me. Don't know HP, do a search, was on here a while back. Raiders fan?

I got it up to around 60 mph today on some flat dirt, it felt like it had a little more. I will have to try again when its fully broken in.

Yea I'm a life long Raiders fan.

WOW - What a price!!! I have seen them sell on ebay well used for more than that!! Good luck with it. Once mod fever kicks in you will probably spend thousands more...

Congrats! I bought one last Sunday myself. And yes....you did get a very good price. I am looking forward to taking it for a spin as I am curious the difference between it and my 800. I have hit 60 mph on the 800 and she had some left in her still. I don't know how much. I was distracted by my back end starting to fish tail
