Ya thats actually the problem i noticed first before the hot light thing. When I had the headlights on the key switch wouldn,t work. I would turn the key on and nothing would happen. turn the lights off and everything worked again. Thats why I started off by charging the battery overnight to see if that cured the problem.

Another unrelated problem I had with the wheeler when I first go it, it was way under powered. I was considering putting a 500 ho cam in to boost the power a little. When I took the cowel and tank off to survey the extent of my cam project I foung the spark plug wire was pincher flat between the tank and frame. The spark Must have been partially shorting to ground kuz now it runs great still on the stock cam. I just put a few wraps of black 88 around the flat spot and rerouted it a little so it wouldn,t be pinched.
