I just put a hot seat pipe on my 98 xplorer that i bought used. Now my bike has no power at all! Any help would be great.

 

Did you install the whole kit - pipe, carb jetting & clutch kit? If so, you said it was used, make sure there is nothing that got put in the pipe - mouse nest or something.

 

Did you put on pipe only? You will had lost power bottom end must have go to clutch kits and carb rejet main.I think you need a buy one clutch kits, If air fitler stock box go to carb reset jet main at 220 hot temp and jet main at 230 cold temp.

waltodamron, I have a 01 400 Explorer with almost the same mods as you except I have the 38 tmx carb and the stock head. I upgraded the springs with the factory h/d springs but am not really happy with the suspension. Did you get yours from a Scrambler? Right now the back is ok but the front is too stiff on slow trails and it makes the quad tippy and more often than not I'm carrying a wheel in the air because the front doesn't articulate at all. Iwas actually going to put the original springs back in it and use a spacer to level it to the back. I weigh 230 lbs and even with my wife on behind me it's stiff. Any tips would be appreciated, Steve

 

Specialky. My xplorer 400 a parts from dealer books pure accessorize 2002. I have one get book pure accessorize 2002 order hot seat shock for xplorer 400 front 6.7 hot seat shock and rear 9.0 hot seat shock. I had only stock spring front and rear.But scrambler shock will not fit for xplorer that is diff size because tall shock than my xplorer is small shock.
