I got the header up to operating temp. and slowly bent the tail pipe up. Now it is just slightly lifted into a bind to make the muffler in the stock location. I don't think it is in a bind too much to hurt it. I may try it bend it up some more, after the pipe heat cycles a few times.
Well as I was putting this all back together, I think I am done moddin' it. I "MAY" put heated grips on it. But nothing else too much. I don't know, a big cam and larger carb sure would be fun too!

It just never stops, does it? I have done this before, maxxed out a hobby, then lost interest. I have done it to: cars, r/c trucks, guns, and CB radios. That is all that I can think of right now! I think the love of mud will always be there though!

I already thought of the 800 carbed, but don't want to wish bad things on my wallet! I guess I must say that I am looking into making a dash panel that mounts to the "upswing" part on the handle bars. Then, I would start installing gages, fan switches, and other assorted items! I would strart with something like this. Then modify it to have a rectangle tube so the backs of the gages are hiden! Finalize it with a little power coating and WHAMO! No more craming gages into the headlight pod. I could probably sell these, but if anyone wants to do it, go ahead. I want first dibs on the second one you make.(I am sure you'd keep the first one!)

Mobile, I had an original series Cobra 148 GTL with lots of gadgets, Wilson 5000 antenna, Palomar 450HD amp with cooling fans that I added, I forget the mic I had. It was expensive but it wasn't an Astatic. Anyway, I had this thing dialed in nicely. I always had compliments on the clarity. And POWER???? I could easily silence the line whenever I wanted too!

Man I used to love to talk on the cb. I kinda gave it up when we got a bunch of neighbors because I was always messing up their tv or phone. The last one I had was a Cobra 2000 base with a sadelta mic. I had 3 linears hooked up and was doing around 3800-3900 watts.
