Default Heel Clicker set-up

I have the 38-12 heel clicker weights in my Scrambler 500 4X4. 2.5 gr screw in the 1st hole, 2.5 gr screw in the 2nd hole, and nothing in the tip. White heel clicker primary spring. Stock secondary in 2-2. This is the recomended set-up in the instructions.

From a stop, it rips right up to the recomended rpm of 6500, but then drops to about 6100 as you accelerate. It will wind out to about 55 mph but over revs to about 6700 rpm.

I'm thinking I need to move the middle screw to the tip hole. Does this sound like what I need to change? Thanks for any help.
