Very easy to do. And just get a new one from NAPA. Muchy cheaper than the dealer.
When you ride, do you smell rubber burning? As for power, it's not a beast, but it should make most hills.

You can get the belts from NAPA. Didn't know that. Is it the true atv belt or is it a car belt? Good info to know because it is cheaper so I can have a back up. The belt is easy to change. Had mine off when I changed the clutch spring.

Best to take the old one in, they can cross the numbers off of it. But if you want to feel better about what it cost for a Polairs belt, go see what I'll have to pay for the wifes ds250. If your belt does get wet, put it in nuetral (after you're out of the water) and rev it a bit. That will dry the belt, and you'll be good to go.

Depending on how much water you go through make sure you remove the little red plastic drain screw from the bottom rear of the belt cover. That will help get a majority of the water out and like stated earlier put it in nutrual and rev it for a little bit to heat it up inside and dry it. I was up in the northwest for a couple years and it happened all the time. Gets frustrating sometimes.

I fit happens all the time, it sounds like you need to check the seal of the clutch covers. They should be pretty watertight. Another place is where the snorkel hose connects to the cover. It's just held there by tie wraps, and they can be loose enough to let some water by.
