won't start something is 'rubbing' under the cover on the left side of the machine
I know very little about ATV's - I have an old (91?) Polaris 250 4x4 - had it for about 2 years - been real handy - the electric start doesn't work but pull start hasn't been a problem until now
pull start feels like something is 'rubbing' under the cover on the left side of the machine - wont start - thoughts on what's wrong?
thanks

the rubbing, unless serve seems that it wouldnt beenough to stop it from starting.does it rub when its running? if its the clutch rubbing you should be able to feel it w/ your hand if you hold it on the cover. you could see if the mounts are broke, which would be a reason its rubbing if not then the cover has to come off to check it out. just a few screws and most likely the foot well as well has to come off.

ok if it is the engine mounts are broken - how big a deal is this to fix?
I got the cover partially off - there is a !@#! mouse nest in there! I need to let the bolts holding the foot rest soak in a bit of break free so I can get them off.
thanks for the help so far guys
