scrambler starter install
yes thats all that it does. i had a problem with my starter not working and i tore it apart mainly to see how it worked, and it was full of rust so i cleaned it out a little WD-40 and put it back together and it worked..its got at least another 100 hrs on it now and still working ... but since i got off the subject if i remember right all i used is silicone and no problems... good luck

I also got my starter from a guy On ebay, I hope it works great. My questions is for my scram 400 4x4 do I have to emove the front drive shaft to get the starter out? I also need to replace my recoil cord. It looks like I need to remove the front drive shaft to get 1 of the bolts out from the outside of recoil housing. Does anyone know a way I can get around removing the shaft. Is removing the front drive shaft a tough job?

You know I had a 98 scrambler, and went through all this, If I remember right you can remove the strter from underneath the machine, lift it up like your doing a wheelie, remove the skid plate and you can gain acccess from there it is a little tight , but can be done.
