I pick up a 99 scrambler for $700.00 bones no engine, it's in pretty good shape.
And only missing the right caliper asm, going to e-bay soon to get one I guess.
Wanting some ideas from someone that has done this before on engine sizes and setups. I dont want to run big triple pipes off one side, I still want to have a duneable machine when done. Not just a flat dragger, can the stock secondairer be use with a snow machine engine.
Sorry dont know much about snowmoblies setups. Do you have to use only polaris machines. Meaning can I macth up a yamaha first with the scramblers stock secondairer.
I have the tools and the know how, just not much on the auto cluches tho.
I seen a polaris 700 at the dunes the last time I was there and was it fast.
I was thinking of putting in a older 440 engine in it but not sure if it would put a big grin on my face or not.

ive never done it b4 but pretty sure the secondary polaris clutch wouldnt match up w/ any other brand machine. also the atv clutches arent made for high reving set ups like a snowmobile so you may need both primary ans secondary clutches to work. put at least a 600 tripple in it and really fly. lol. good luck and take videos when done.

Well yes I have a fuew /95 ish explorer with a yamaha 650.Not the conversion for the faint of hart. Had to loose the belt drive all together.Chain in chain out.I am new to this web site and don't know how to post pics yet but will figure it out...
The bigest issue with this conversion is figuring out the sprocket configuration.

Hi gregg welcome to this site. Hope you get your pictures up soon, did you have to lose the belt drive because of you using a yamaha setup.
On the pictures part, it takes a little bit of time to get them aproved. Good luck
