My brother in law was a 05 sp500. We where riding last week and his machine kept shutting off. It seems to loose all electical power. It will start right back up and run fine for a while but it will stall again with no sign or warning. When it stalls it looses all lights. Sounds like a loose battery connection.

 

check from the battery right up thru for connection or even a bad ground.
