2006 Sportsman 500 EFI problems
Has anyone else had my problems? With 219 miles and 55 hours here's the list.
Gas in the oil
3 CV Boots
Front axle replaced ( Bearings were missing???)
Rear wheel bearing replaced
Stalling issues downhill
Stalling issues randomly at start-up
winch only going up (solenoid still hitting)
It's at the dealer now for the third time and I asked about Polaris taking back this lemon. They said they need to look at it first, but might do a swap. I love the quad, but it is not worth the downtime. I hate to say it ,but if it doesn't work out, I'll buy a Honda.

Where and how do you ride? I've only had minor stalling issues with mine, and haven't had that happen within this year. I've got over 1400km (850miles) on mine with close to 100 hours of riding, been sunk once and still runs like a top. Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble. Hope it works out.

Exactly! I wish I had a lot of miles and had minor stalling problems. That's why I bought it to begin with. These machines are suppose to be a strong product.
I broke it in with half throttle or less for the first 10 hours, half throttle to full for the next 10 hours. This is what the dealership recommended. After the break in, I rode it hard at times. Nothing this should not handle. I mostly trail ride and hopefully find mud to let it rip. You think I was driving into sticks pointed right at my cv boots. I don't and make a very consciuos effort not to strike things. I have lost confidence in the quad. I love the ride and have not had the quad stuck yet. This is in 1.5 feet+/- of mud. It is incredible what it will go thru.
The most frustrating thing is my riding has been with all types of quads and I'm the only one who seems to have problems. The amount of hours, miles after the break-in can be attained in a weekend trip up north. There should not be these mulpitle problems. Hopefully the dealership works with me. This is just bad PR with the other rider I'm with and who they tell. I'll find out hoefully this week.
