Default 06 500 Sportsman EFI won't stay running

just got it back on friday from the dealer where they changed the map sensor and put a new one on, took it for a half ride at the dealeship and ran fine. Took it home and two days later it won't even hardly idle. It doesn't always wanna start one the first try either, a lot of time it wants to backfire when trying to start. After getting it started it will idle for about 2 minutes then all of a sudden just shut it self off. It has been at the dealer for six weeks now and they have looked at it front to back, up and down and inside and out and can't figure out what it wrong with it. They have reflashed it, done every kinda test you can think of on it, like I said the last thing they did on it was change the map sensor, and it still won't run properly. Anybody else have any of the same problems or any idea what it wrong with it? Thanks

Had a similar problem. It was the TPS sensor Plug. While it was running I fiddled with various connectors and found touching the TPS plug made a difference. Secured it to the TPS sensor with a tie wrap and has been working fine since. If you read the Polaris shop manual it says that 80% of problems turn out to be an issue with some connection so I would look there first.

Talked to the dealer this morning and told him what it was still doin. The mechanic who has been working on it says he knows what the problem is. He said its a conection somwhere along where the wires go into the map sensor, anybody else heard of or know of this problem as well??

I had the same problem. it was a connection for the map sensor and the wires had to be soldered for them to stay. It has worked fine since but took them a long time to find it
