500 scrambler backfire

i still get a backfire after full throttle.its all stock.someone says to replace the 40 to a 42.5 does anyone know if this will help

Have you checked the ETC switch?There is a way to bypass it but I am not sure how.

by passthe etc is easy just pull the cover off and put a peace of tape between the two points of contact. but yes its fine

Try disconnecting the rev limiter.Unplug the black wire.This thing can cause all sorts of problems.

My sons 04 scrambler backfired on deacceleration. The main jet was partially clogged.
Cleaned it and problem solved
