Default 06 Scrambler 500 H.O. Need clutch help

I installed a more aggressive clutch kit from erlandson performance industries.com. I installed it with a new belt. On my first ride it was awsome for about ten minutes then it would start slipping on take off and eventually would get moving and just rev up. After it cooled down It would work until it got hot. The kit I got came with springs, weights, and a helix. It was middle of the road aggressiveness. I would greatly appreciate any help.

was it a stock polaris belt? is the prim. spring really high engagment? is it rubbing on the belt so its causing it to heat up. did it say to shim the clutches in any way. just a couple of idears. is the helix wrong for the springs in there?

I am not a big fan of EPI clutch kits. They get you with the helix that you dont need.Complete kits on a 500 arent ussually needed.Best thing for a stock 500 scrammy is to tighten the secondary to 2-2 and add a Dalton black/white primary spring.
But if you want more aggressive the Aaen kit is well worth the money.
The only things that will get the belt hot are the vents clogged, belt not allinged, clutches not shimmed right, the wrong belt on it.

Too much preload could do it.Nut I would look for stopped up vents. If nothing is wrong the belt may be glazed and slipping.I would try an old belt.
