2004 Sportsman 700 mods?
Newbie here! I just bought this machine and was wondering what you all can suggest. I had the front lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, and rear bearings, replaced. Took it out this last weekend. It ran suprisingly great! However I noticed the front suspension quite soft and a little lower than the rear. (The tires rubbed on the fenders whenever I went into a dip) Also when accelerating, I here a clicking or engaging sound. Is this the clutch saying it's worn out? It will need a new muffler/exhaust soon, and I also would like to tinker with the carb, and clutch. What are you all using, or rather, what can you suggest? Tx!!!!!

the clutch will bang a bit when engaging, check rear prop(drive)shaft I just grenaded mine with noises also. For mods how much do you wanna spend ? the 800 header pipe does alot, but you gotta rejet, add aK&n filter, 800 intake snorkel, and a better muffler I run a white Bros but will be selling that and getting something else.Several people offer a front lift check quadovator.com for some nifty stuff.

I have an '05 SP700 with a Dynojet kit, 800 header (jet coated), K&N filter, .040 timing key, modded stock muffler (had WB/PP but not worth it), '06 800 primary with heelclicker clutch kit, 800 secondary spring, EPI front springs, it's one super torque machine. The 800 intake did not run for me, some 700's cannot use the 800 intake but most can.
