2007 Hawkeye -- carb problems and more
I'm no expert, but every Hawkeye I looked at before buying the one I did was an '07 and they all had black suspensions.
I'll join in the conspiracy theory, could it be maybe Polaris is shipping their remaining "old" Hawkeye models to whatever dealer can sell them? Probably be hard to get rid of them once the "new" Hawkeye/Sportsman models come out.
Maybe try an exorsisim on the green one. Demons BE GONE! ;-)

That is california air emissions system setup i think, They really flopped on the 06 Models with someones guess work, if its under warranty take it back there are PMS on this thing as well as some recalls, I took mine to the dealer last week and they are fixing 3 problems. RP

Talked to the dealer. They don't know why the machines have different setups and could not confirm whether one was California emissions or not.
They did run the VIN and both are in fact 2007s. The eleventh digit of the VIN is the last digit of the model year. No recalls or TSBs on either machine.
I'm going to swap out the jets some more and see if I can get it running right. I might lean it out and put a dial-a-jet in.
